Camp KSC® is three days full of engaging hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities throughout Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s exhibits and attractions.
INTERNATIONAL CAMPS
International students engage in hands-on activities and challenges in this 3 day program. Throughout the all-new Astronaut Training Experience® Center and visitor complex, campers use authentic NASA science to make the most of their visit to Kennedy Space Center.
ASTRONAUT TRAINING EXPERIENCE (ATX)®
Campers may train in three areas: Launch Operations, Mars Operations, and Microgravity Operations. For the Launch training, campers will be assigned a position in Mission Control or in the Orion spacecraft. The teams will be scored on their ability to work together to launch and dock their spacecraft while dealing with one or more emergencies. In the Mars Surface Exploration training area, campers will take turns landing and driving on Mars in full-motion simulators and/or walking on Mars using virtual reality equipment. In Microgravity Operations training, campers will strap into our one-of-a-kind microgravity chairs to experience the sensation of working in a frictionless environment.
